The Apollo Theatre in Victoria, London is one of the Largest Theatres in the Capital.  Originally built as a super cinema, the Victoria Theatre was re-opened in 1981 with a Shirley Bassy Concert before being the home for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express.  Today, the production of Wicked is playing at the Apollo.


Travelling to the Apollo Theatre by public transport could not be easier.  The Theatre is located just over the road from Victoria Rail Station which many of the mainline trains from the South are available from.  The Victoria, District and Circle underground trains also stop here which provide links to Euston and other mainline stations.  Victoria Bus Terminal connects London by bus.


Wicked, now playing at the Apollo Theatre is based on the book by Gregory Maguire "The life and times of the wicked witch of the west" and tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her friendship with Glinda, the Good witch of the north.  The musical tells the story of their ups and downs, differences in views and love interests with much of the story referencing well known scenes from the Wizard of Oz..


Wicked has won lots of major awards and can be seen all over the world.  It has broken box office records Twice and has lots of fantastic reviews from critics and theatregoers alike.
