Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey is one of the best family parks in the UK with lots of rides and attractions including the new Sea life centre, the Vampire ride, Bubble works, Nemises Revenge and the Dragon Falls which is guaranteed to get you wet.  No visit to Chessington is not complete without a walk around the famous zoo.

Most Rides and attractions at Chessington World of Adventures are suitable for Children however, some rides do have height restrictions and may not be available so it is worth checking before you visit the website for upto date information.  There are also lots of food and drink outlets throughout the park but this can work out expensive and we would recommend you pack a picnic for your visit.  When on rides, you are not allowed to take bags and any loose items so it is worth taking as little as possible which could get lost.

Chessington World of Adventures is split into different areas including:

Beanoland

Great adventure for kids (and grown up ones alike!) to ride on the Dodger's Dogems or let the kids loose in Dennis Madhouse which is a large play park or if that is not enough, then take a spin on Billy's Whizzer before heading down to the Bash Street Bus.

Fobidden Kingdom

Welcome to Egypt where if you dare, ride Nemises Revenge or travel through the Tomb Blaster to fight off the evil forces you may meet on your Journey.

Mexicana

Now you are in Mexico, take a trip on the Runnaway Train roller coaster which is a great ride for all before heading over to the Rattlesnake ride which will have you spinning around the track which big drops and sharp corners.

Mystic East

While in the Eastern part of the park, get ready to get wet as you take a trip on the river on Dragon Falls.  Now is a great time to see the park from above as you enter Peeking Heights.

ToyTown

This area is great for the kids as you let them loose on ToyTown Truckers or Todies Crazy Cars.  If that was not enough, then they still have the Berry Bouncers ride to go.

Transvalvania

Get ready to be spooked as you ride the famous Vampire Ride at Chessington World of Adventures.  As your Legs swing around under you, ride the twist and turns on this famous rollercoaster which is based on spooy stories.  Now is the time to enjoy some real family fun with Bubbleworks.  This ride is great for all ages but you may get a little wet!

While at Chessington World of Adventures there is still lots more to take in including live shows and smaller rides especially for younger visitors.  There are lots of other facilites including a first Aid post, Toilets, picnic areas and parking.  The nearest Train station is Chessington and is a short distance from the park.  Chessington is open throughout the year from 28th March 2008 to 2nd November 2008 but please check with the website before you travel as this could be subject to change. Chessington Zoo is normally open throughout the year but again, check on website for details.  Park entrance is open around 10.00am and closes either at 5pm or 6pm.
