Fairfield halls in Croydon, South London provide a wide program of entertainment including concerts, plays, musicals and exhibitions.  Fairfield halls is made up from a large Concert hall, the Ascroft Theater and the Arnhem Gallery. 


The Ashcroft Theatre is named after Peggy Ashcroft who was born in Croydon, South London and became a huge star after she played Juliet in the 1934 production of Romeo and Juliet at the New Theater.  In 1984, Peggy Ashcroft was awarded an Academy for "Best Supporting Actress" in her role in the film "A passage to India".


Fairfield Halls in the Borough of Croydon provides a wide range of entertainment within the Concert hall, Theatre and the Arnhem Gallery (named after the town in Germany which Croydon is Twinned).  Past performances include the famous Morcombe and Wise Christmas Special, Status Quo, The Beatles, Russian Ballet and many more.


Fairfield halls has appeared in major blockbusting films, television programs and advertisments.  Most recently this has included the first few minutes of The Da Vinci Code where Robert Langdon's (Tom Hanks) is delivering his seminar speech,  The X factor Final (JLS used Fairfield Halls for home coming visit) and an advertisment for Specsavers in which Fairfield signage was changed to FairView.
