Isle of Wight in the South of England is a short ferry ride away from Portsmouth on the mainland.  The Isle of Wight has an estimated population of 140,000 but in the summer season and when festivals take place, this number can easily be doubled.  The Isle of Wight music festival takes place once a year and has seen some of the biggest names in music take to the stage.  Cowes week is the largest sailing regratta in the world in which around 1000 yachts take place in some 50 different classes of racing.
