Lancashire has an estimated population of 1,451,500.  One of the most popular areas for tourism is Blackpool with it's long promonade and Adventure park.  Over the last few years, millions of pounds has been spent on re-generating the sea front.  Other areas within Lancashire include Burnley, Lancaster and Preston.  There are good transport links including road and train networks.  The nearest main Airport is in Manchester.
