South Yorkshire is the tenth most populated area in England with an estimated population of 1,299,400.  South Yorkshire includes places like Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield.  The area in the Past was industrial and today in some areas still is.  Much of the Coal mining pits of the past have long gone.  There are many places to visit including Abbeys, Historic buildings, Parks and Woodland and much more.
