Thorpe Park is Surrey is the biggest and best Adventure Theme parks is Britain with rides and attractions not for the faint hearted. Rides include Stealth, Nemises Revenge, Colossus, Nemises Inferno and new for 2009, Saw. Thorpe Park is a great day out for Teenagers and Adults.
If you ever want to feel what it is like to suddenly shoot up into the sky and feel weight loss, this ride will meet your needs. Stealth shoots you from the landing platform and before you no it, your travelling straight up into the sky before heading down to earth. This is a very popular ride and queing times can be very long.
Nemesis Inferno
Sit back and enjoy the ride as you see the floor dissapear under your feet. This inverted Rollercoaster will take you through loops, turns up to speeds of 75 kmph and a G-force of 4.5. This is one of the most popular rides at Thorpe Park and waiting times can be very long but it is worth every minute.
Tidal Wave
When you que and see the signs that tell you "this is a wet ride" don't think they are telling porky's. This ride will get you drenched. Sit back and travel up 85ft before your let loose and hit the tidal wave which sends water gushing over the boat. If that was not enough, once you leave the ride, you then have to walk over the bridge back to the park which if you timed right, will get you wet all over again.
Rumba Rapids
Time to take a trip Caribbean style in this wet and wild ride with a few hidden suprises on the way. For most of you that travel this ride, you will not get a little wet, you WILL get socked. This ride is great for those who like a little adventure without the white knucle effect. So sit back and enjoy the rapids.
Samurai
This ride is a must for any white knuckle fan. If you ever want to get the feeling that you are stuck in a washing machine and don't no which way is up, then this ride is for you. Smaurai spins you in every direction you can think so when we say, you dont know which way up you are, we really do mean it.
Colossus
You want to go for the real extream, well now you have found it. Colossus has ten loops which will please all white knuckle fans. The ride takes you upto nearly 100ft before letting you down through the loops, twists and turns at speeds upto 65mph. This ride is not for the faint hearted.
X: No way Out
Time to come inside, into the dark as you take a trip on the worlds first backwards roller coaster. This ride may not have all the spills and existment for the hardcore white knuckle fans but still it's a great ride with lighting and special effects thrown in for good measure.
NEW - SAW - The Ride
Based on the very popular horror movies, Saw-the ride pushes you to the limit. New to Thorpe Park in 2009, Saw the ride takes you through features of the popular films and just when you thought you seen it all, you are travelling up 90 degrees into the sky only to be dropped into the SAW.
There are lots of other attractions and live shows to fill your day out at Thorpe park. The Nearest Train station is "Slough" where a bus transfer service operates which costs, so make sure you have some change with you. There is lots of parking at Thorpe Park but the earlier you get their the nearer the park entance you will be. Thorpe park is open throughout the year between 14th March to 8th November 2009. Special events take place throughout the year including the very popular Fright Nights and Thorpe Blast in October/November and booking online is recommended.
